Greeting Card n. 6 - for an assiduous reader
Surely, for those who love reading, books are always a welcome gift, and who knows how many people
will give a book as gift to that your friend everyone knows as a "literature eater".
But how many of them are associating at gift a bookmark as greeting card?
I know, this is not particularly original idea, because personally I think it is quite common
to associate a bookmark to the gift of a book, but in any case I believe it is useful to remember
this possibility. You may want to put a dedication phrase at the beginning of the book and
greetings on the bookmark.
In order not to spoil the surprise of gift (anticipating with a greeting bookmark), it is worth
pointing out that the ticket used as a bookmark can be done in many different ways, so that it can
seem merely an "usual" greeting card if the shape and the design does not refer
explicitly to context of reading. For example, if the recipient of your gift is an architect
or designer, the bookmark will portray a ruler or a team.
Personally, I am very fond of an old bookmark with the shape of a little mouse, with a strip
of cloth as tail, and a writing : "library mouse" . I think it is very nice.
So free up your imagination.
Greeting Card n. 7 - for a "delicate" friend
At-chooo! If the gift-recipient is a chronic cooled, it can blow his nose with your greeting card,
which will be a soft piece of cloth with the word "Best Wishes". Not only will be a
pretty card idea, but perhaps it will also be used during the party ...
To write on the cloth you can find colors that with the appropriate treatment (sometimes
passing on them with the iron) fix themselves on the fibers of the cloth, so the card will
be personalized with your lasting greeting. Alternatively, if you have time and will
(and you are able), you could sew the letters directly on handkerchief
Greeting Card n. 8 - a gift for a beer-lover
There is one thing that often the assiduous frequenters of pubs can not resist : bringing home
the cartonboard mats found under beer bottles served at the table. Many collect them, exchange them,
as it was with cigarette cards. There are always duplications, useless ones and unobtainable ones :-)
Well, if the recipient of your gift is a lover of beer you would make a good greeting card and
giving to him one of those mats with greeting words on the back. It will certainly be nice;
if it is one of the "unobtainable" cards, probably you'll see a smile with 45 teeth...
In general, obtaining a card like this is as easy as going out for an evening and taking
a drink with friends. If also happens to you to go abroad, take always some mat that could be
your next "unobtainable" greeting card.
Greeting Card n. 9 - a present for a card player
If he spend hours and hours playing cards with friends, a beautiful and original card could be written
on a game card, e.g. Neapolitan or French ones. Sending best wishes on a lucky "coins-seven" ( "Sette Bello" )
might be a good omen. If you want to be even more original, you may print out an item from the
card-set of Christmas themed playing cards

image of giftwrapping !
